Soil composition and footing wall floor construction vary greatly from one house to another - each basement is different. The Water Trek Aqua Route system is engineered to meet each individual sub-floor situation. The Basement Guardian system is comprised of two unique patented components. The design enables KC Waterproofing, Foundation and Environmental Solutions to solve any situation encountered under the floor. Your dealer can "custom tailor" each system to each sub floor situation encountered. Research proves that water originates from in front of the footing, as well as, from the footing foundation wall seam. The Basement Guardian conduit is the only system with holes on both sides to handle both areas. The footing configuration in relation to the floor (slab) and the foundation wall is the key to installing a successful water proofing system. The Basement Guardian is uniquely adaptable and can handle all four (4) possible configurations. An alarm is installed, The Grabber Pal II, in the basin to alert you if the pump has a mechanical problem or was unplugged accidentally, which can cause a flood. This alarm is float activated and far superior to sensor type alarms which other companies carry. A special rubber fitting called "The Silencer" is used over or under the lid dependent on a side discharge or top discharge to hush the already quiet pump. Solve Wet Basement Floor Problems
The most effective waterproofing systems are installed on the inside of the home. When the interior drainage systems are installed, they need a central ejection device-a way to get the water to the outside of the home. The patent pending Basement Guardian Pump is the heart and lungs of our Basement Guardian perimeter system. The Water Grabber Pump consists of a patent pending drilled polyethylene basin with a split lid. We use 3/4" gravel to surround the basin to help filter the water.
